A personal trainer is a certified fitness professional who helps individuals improve their physical health, performance, and overall well-being through customized exercise programs, coaching, and motivation. Their primary role is to design and guide safe, effective workouts tailored to your goals—whether that’s building strength, losing weight, increasing endurance, or enhancing athletic performance.


Massage/Manual Therapy

This is a hands on approach to pain relief. Treatment includes: massage, sports massage, deep tissue massage, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), cupping, joint mobilization, joint manipulation, mobilization with movement, stretching, active release technique (ART), myofascial release, trigger point release, and more.

Cody Wickenhauser is a Bloomington/Normal area native that grew up with a passion for sports, living an active lifestyle, and helping people. He continued this passion as a collegiate athlete at Augustana College (Rock Island, IL) where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. He did his graduate school at Washington University in St. Louis where he earned his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. He has been both a Personal Trainer and a Physical Therapist in the Bloomington/Normal area since 2015. It has been his personal experience through multiple different injuries keeping him from doing what he loves, that led him to start Free to Move. He has dedicated his career to help people be free from pain and be able to move their bodies any way that they desire to.
